Social media addiction is an increasingly widespread phenomenon, characterized by compulsive use of digital platforms. Symptoms include anxiety, isolation, and decreased productivity. The mechanism of immediate gratification, given by likes and comments, stimulates the release of dopamine, making it difficult to detach. To reduce the risk, it is useful to set limits on use, favor real interactions, and dedicate oneself to offline activities. Being aware of one's relationship with social media is the first step towards a more balanced use.
